How the Disease Analyzer Works
A passenger can look suspicious before reaching your desk. The Airport Contraband Disease Analyzer lets you examine symptomatic travelers, read a severity result from 1 to 5, and compare it with the current Public Health Department regulations before deciding whether to allow entry. The daily rule matters as much as the number on the machine.
DRAGO's July 3, 2026 announcement, Spot the Sick!, describes this inspection system. Player experience from an early-stage Prologue recording illustrates the process, but its individual disease limits and upgrade numbers should not be mistaken for universal current values.
Watch the Queue for Visible Symptoms
The developer describes four kinds of behavior to notice while passengers wait:
- Coughing.
- Sneezing.
- Holding the stomach.
- Grabbing the head.
Direct passengers showing suspicious symptoms to the Disease Analyzer for examination. These animations are reasons to inspect, rather than a complete verdict on whether a traveler must be refused.
The diseases are fictional and deliberately humorous. The official announcement gives examples such as Banana Flu and Explosive Sneezing Syndrome; these are game mechanics, not real-world medical guidance.
Scan, Compare, Then Decide
At the analyzer, complete the medical scan and read the symptom severity. The documented scale runs from 1 to 5. Compare that result with the rule for the relevant disease in today's Public Health Department regulations.
Do not memorize one cutoff and apply it to every passenger. The developer says thresholds vary between diseases and the regulations change daily. The early Prologue player also notices that a flu limit differs from the previous day, illustrating why checking the current notice matters.
In that player experience, analysis takes time, and the game allows the officer to attend to other passengers while it runs. Return to the analyzer for its result before resolving the patient's clearance. A pending scan is not an all-clear.
Avoid the Most Costly Misreadings
Separate these three pieces of information: the visible symptom, the scan result, and the day's applicable rule. Seeing a cough identifies a passenger worth examining; it does not by itself tell you how severe the case is or what today's permitted limit is.
The early Prologue recording includes a result at severity 5 that the player refuses, along with a lower result allowed to continue. Those are examples under the displayed rules of that run, not a fixed instruction to approve or reject every possible matching number.
The same recording shows disease-related perks at the Handyman, including options that affect symptom visibility or analysis. Read their actual descriptions in your build. They assist the inspection process; they do not remove the need to apply the current regulations.
FAQ
What is the Disease Analyzer's severity scale?
The official developer description uses a scale from 1 to 5. The entry decision depends on comparing the result with the current disease-specific regulation.
Can I use yesterday's health limits?
No. DRAGO states that the regulations change every day. Check today's notice rather than relying on a cutoff remembered from an earlier shift.
Does every passenger who coughs need to be refused?
The documented response is to send symptomatic passengers for examination. Use the scan and today's rules to decide whether the passenger can enter or should be denied access.
